Day 71 of 365

Pasadena City Hall

I passed this building on my way home today from the Pro Photo Expo in Pasadena, CA. and was struck by its sheer beauty and had to turn around and take a quick picture.
Pasadena City Hall is one of the finest examples of the California Mediterranean style. It is the dominant building in the Pasadena Civic Center, a complex of government, institutional and cultural buildings that epitomizes the City Beautiful movement. Since its opening on December 27, 1927, 80-year old Pasadena City Hall has remained one of the most distinctive public buildings in the United States and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Quote of the Day:
Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude.

Snow Day in Chino Hills, CA.

Every year the city and the local retailors sponsor a snow day at Cross Roads Park in Chino Hills so I took the opportunity to take my two year old grandson out to enjoy the snow for the first time in his life. (In Southern California man-made snow counts).
So we braved the 70 degree weather and made the best of it!
To my friends on the East Coast be safe and hang in there!

Winter is the season in which people try to keep the house as warm as it was in the summer, when they complained about the heat.
