I spent my teenage years in Oakland, CA. and on most days I would take the public bus to and from school. And that’s where I met this wonderful man who just happened to be a wino who must of saw something in me and he would take it upon himself to school me on the pitfalls of life.

And the main lesson that he told me was “don’t end up like him and stay in school”, and to this day I’m still thankful that he took the time, and in his “words school me”!

So stay open because you never know when and where and from who a great life lesson will appear.

I shot this from the beach in Waikiki, I just wished I had a tripod and more time and money to spend their because the sunsets are spectacular.
